Rolls
”The Wheat”

The ubiquitous “bread roll”. A rather boring name for something that reaches so far afield and when baked with time, love & care, can lead to utter deliciousness.

Almost every country has their version of a roll (Italy = panino; England = bap, barm, or cob depending where you live; Germany = Brot; Denmark & Norway = rundstykker and…. well, you get the idea). But regardless of geography, it is ultimately just “a small, often round loaf of bread served as a meal accompaniment (eaten plain or with butter). It can be served and eaten whole or cut transversely and dressed with filling between the two halves. Rolls are also commonly used to make sandwiches similar to those produced using slices of bread.” Yawn, right? (thanks Wikipedia)
